Cities Divide and Conquer

The team opened the spring schedule with a split-squad game vs the Shoreway Rays of the Cleveland MSBL league. The Rays were facing a shortage of players, so a few Cities veteran (Josh Taylor, John Millin, VItaliy Styrt, and Jimmy Paskall) joined the Rays side to even the tables a bit.

The story of the day though was the offensive and defensive efforts by the newest team members as a solid infield was established in Cory Smith and Jack Wysocki, plus corner IF Scooter Kramer (Kramer also added 2 effective innings in relief) and the Cities coasted to a 6-3 final.

Mike Breckenridge was handed the W by pitching 3 innings after relieving starter Lonnie Felton. Justin Giauque, Paskall and Wysocki all also saw time on the mound.
