Must Wake Up Bats
Once again the Cities bats couldn't wake up in time for the game, as the Orioles blanked the good guys on the road for their second league loss of the year. Unbelievably, despite only 6 hits on the day, the team was able to hit into 3 double-plays and 2 more runners were caught on the basepaths -- killing any hopes for runs in the game.
Jimmy Paskell again got the start for the Three Cities, and pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs, but the defense behind him committed 4 errors allowing 5 additional runs to score. Mike Breckenridge took the mound and gave up the last 2 runs as the Orioles won 10-0.
The Cities POTG was Jack Wisocki, who went 2-3 plus a stolen base as well as adding a web-gem in the field.
