Cubs Rally to Beat Cities
Despite having to shuffle position players on the mound, Three Cities was able to hold the Cleveland Cubs at bay for 7 innings, battling to an 8-7 lead entering the 8th.
The Cities had hung tough and put together a few series of key hits (despite leaving their share of opportunities on base yet again), including sacrifices from John Millin and Erik Pinkerman, as well as huge run-producing hits from Paul Clark and Vitaliy Styrt.
Scooter Kramer had relieved the starter Jack Wysocki in the 4th, and opened the 8th, when a pair of costly errors began the collapse for the Cities. By the time Mike Breckenridge came in to record the final out, the Cubs had plated 5 runs (4 un-earned) and were in control for the final frame. The final score was Cubs 12 - TCBC 8.
Paul Clark was once again TCBC's POTG and recorded 3 hits, including a double and 4 RBIs. He's now raised his average on the year to .529 with 6RBI through 4 games.
