The Three Cities battled for first place against the Ohio Giants, having lost their first matchup against them earlier in the season.

The boys jumped ahead early to a 5-0 count, and the team cruised until things turned sour, as starter Jack Wysocki was saddled with 10 Runs against before finishing the 6th inning.

The Cities offense erupted though in the 7th, with a combination of patient ABs and key hits, putting up another 11 runs to hand the ball over to team veteran Mike Ruhrkraut with a 16-10 lead to protect.

Both teams would add another run before the dramatic final frame, when - with 2 men on base and no outs - the Giants' batter lined sharply over the head of TCBC's Chris Giganti for what was certain to be a hit. Instead, Giganti lept high in the air and snared it before quickly firing to second base to double off the lead runner. Cory Smith then pegged the runner at first as well, for a game ending 4-6-3 Triple Play!

Final score: TCBC 17 - Giants 11.
